Primary Purpose

The SEO Freelancer will collaborate with the Sr. Search Strategist and Director of Analytics, in defining, designing, developing and executing the organic search strategy, reporting and analysis; providing key client stakeholders with actionable insights and recommendations to improve or optimize the organic conversion of business objectives.

 

Responsibilities

  • Mining, interpreting, and analysis of data from search platforms (SEMRush, Moz, Google Search Console)
  • Segmentation of organic visitor analytics data
  • Perform keyword research, competitive analysis, site architecture recommendations, and landing page requirements for clients
  • Create and execute link building strategies
  • SEO content audits and strategy development
  • Troubleshoot technical SEO issues
  • Create and execute link building strategies
  • Recommend and perform onsite and offsite optimization tactics
  • Communication of key findings, insights, and recommendations
  • Development of dashboards/visual representations of data
  • Provide routine ad-hoc research of algorithm updates, new product offerings and theories within organic search
  • Collaboration with other agency departments (creative, development, project and account management)
  • Occasional work in other channels as needed (email marketing, PPC)

 

Job Skills

  • The individual should have an interest in organic search
  • Ability to minor perform copywriting duties such as blogging and website copy
  • Ability to pick up new systems, methods, or processes and quickly gain efficiency
  • Flexibility moving between digital channels (analytics, SEO, PPC, email marketing)
  • Ability to communicate through storytelling
  • Comfortable presenting in front of internal/external audiences
  • Capacity to multitask or change tasks frequently

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Intern experience in SEO interactive marketing or digital agency experience, a plus
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices
  • Microsoft Office Suite expertise (particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Experience with digital analytics (Google Analytics)
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced, agency environment
